Synedgen President Shenda Baker will be a featured presenter at the upcoming Grinnell Scientists: Making a Difference in the World Conference
February 12, 2013—Synedgen President Shenda Baker will be a featured presenter at the upcoming Grinnell Scientists: Making a Difference in the World Conference. Baker, who earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Grinnell in 1985, will discuss innovations in polysaccharide-based therapeutics and her role as President and COO of Synedgen, a southern California based pharmaceutical company.
The event will take place Sunday, February 24 at the California Institute of Technology’s Beckman Institute from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
“Grinnell provided me with a wealth of experiences and opportunities. I am looking forward to sharing my current research and professional activities,” said Baker. “ It’s particularly rewarding that the event be sponsored at Caltech, where I completed my PhD in ‘91.”
At the conclusion of the program, a reception will be held and Caltech graduate students will lead a tour of the Caltech campus.
